do you know any good medicine forum where i can make a consultation

  • i've had dermatitis for all my life but since last year, i have like a giant eczema that won't go away

i don't know if this is still dermatitis, if i should go to the dermatologist or to another kind of specialist, i wanna show a picture but i won't post it here because it's kinda nasty, but if you know somewhere where i can post it and ask, it would be really helpful

r/SkincareAddiction and r/AsianBeauty are both excellent subreddits if you're looking for advice on a forum (referring to the title of your thread).

  • I used to have eczema on my right arm, my mom got me this spray and I used that spray everyday for my eczema and my eczema is now all gone, but I’m sorry I do not remember the spray name or brand, I wish I could help you more because I understand that eczema is really irritating but I’m sorry this is all the info I have

  • skincareaddiction reddit is good.

You might already know all this, but this is just my experience with dermatitis/eczema:

If it's bad eczema, hydrocortisone should improve it fairly quickly and it's OTC and inexpensive, but it's a steroid and it isn't for prolonged use. Don't use it for more than a week straight.

When it gets better, as early as you can, switch to a fragrance-free lotion for eczema (stick to dermatologist-created skincare brands).

There are more effective non-steroid products like Protopic, but it's prescription, not over the counter like hydrocortisone.

Keep the effected area clean and dry, but moisturized. Don't use harsh soaps, again, stick to fragrance-free dermatologist brands if you can. Avoid prolonged exposure to water as much as you can (water is actually a skin irritant), sun, harsh products, and any other irritants.
