Annie from the group Allday Project has been selected as the host for the year-end ‘2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.’
According to the music industry on the 21st, Annie will serve as the MC for the ‘2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon,’ which will air on December 31st.
The ‘MBC Gayo Daejejeon,’ broadcast annually at year’s end, has been hosted for the past 10 years by Yoona, a former member of Girls’ Generation and actress. Yoona stepped down as the show’s MC last year, and Annie has now taken over the role.
Annie has no prior experience hosting music programs, and fans are anticipating how she will perform at this year’s ‘Gayo Daejejeon.’
Annie is the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Chairman Chung Yoo-kyung and the granddaughter of Lee Myung-hee, the chairwoman of Shinsegae Group. She gained attention as a ‘chaebol rookie’ after debuting with the five-member co-ed idol group Allday Project.
Allday Project emerged as a standout rookie, topping domestic music charts and music shows simultaneously with their double title tracks ‘FAMOUS’ and ‘WICKED’ upon their debut in June.
The ‘2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon’ will once again close out the year on the last night of December. As a festival that encapsulates the year in K-pop across genres and generations, it will be produced by Jang Woo-sung, the PD of ‘Show! Music Core,’ to mark the finale of 2025.
