I have read somewhere that BTS' new album, rumored to be released in March, will be 'experimental', doing something not done before.
Changing directions precisely when those who had waited for it to release songs which made the world swoon in 2020 and 2021.
With Bang more concerned with his own problems, RM will probably have a freer hand with the new album, which will reflect more of his own tastes than the world's.
I still think next Mar is too late for its comeback, and to reward the fans who had waited out for 2 years plus, I think there should have been at least a single as a sign of thanks to the fans who waited them out.
With Huntr/x and Saja Boys completely changing the paradigm of Kpop, a return of BTS is unlikely to cause as much stir as it would have been if it returned in late July.
I mean, if they released even an easier single in late July, the trajectory of Golden and Soda Pop would have been quite different, the fake Kpop fighting with the real Kpop.
It would have shown the world who was the boss.
Next March, I expect a bunch of acts, not losing a beat, competing for the act which manages to fall BTS. There will be a plethora of releases around the time BTS is supposed to come back.
Wasting 8 months for no good reason, and let a couple of virtual idols produced by ex-Koreans, would rank as BTS' greatest strategic mistake of all time.
