  • Smart for them to test this market. They tested it earlier in the careers but it was odd they didn't make an attempt when the group reached new heights. I hope Soyeon gives us a banger like Fate. I feel a song like that will perform well in this market.

  • Since I was c‍urious, I calculated the number of views needed per like for all seven music videos:

    • #4 I‍TZY, V‍oltage — 2‍6,776,171 ÷ 839,000 = 31.91 views per like
    • #7 a‍espa, H‍ot Mess — 21,494,897 ÷ 593,000 = 36.25 views per like
    • #5 L‍E SSERAFIM, F‍earless — 22,608,576 ÷ 599,000 = 37.74 views per like
    • #3 IZ*O‍NE, 好きと言わせたい — 31,592,723 ÷ 575,000 = 54.94 views per like
    • #6 #idle, どうしよっかな — 22,504,989 ÷ 286,000 = 78.69 views per like
    • #2 I‍VE, W‍AVE — 32,429,610 ÷ 395,000 = 82.10 views per like
    • #1 N‍ewJeans, S‍upernatural — 73,372,407 ÷ 777,000 = 94.43 views per like

There's quite a wide range of views:like ratios, but do they signify anything?

Curious to see where their first week sales land. Also, I wonder if they have a more mature Japanese fanbase compared to the usual kpop groups, which could explain some of the numbers for their first week. Also, I think what helps a lot it doesn't sound like a kpop song that is performed in Japanese, but more so a kpop group making a jpop song geared for that market.
