    original post: here

    1. My boyfriend said he was going to vote #4, but seriously, I can't even talk about it to anyone;;

    He then said he watched the presidential debate and looked at the pledges, and the only one with policies that considered people in their 20s and 30s was Lee Junseok, so he ended up voting for him… ha;;;

    2. Ha seriously how did we end up like that... 2 of the 3 people here are all weirdos. This is so scary

    3. I'm more shocked by women in their 20s, how can 10% of us vote for that?

    4. Ew

    5. So 36% of women in their 20s are technically right-wing

    6. I don't understand people voting for Lee Junseok? Instead of Kim Moonsoo or Kwon Younggook ㅋㅋㅋ

    7. A lot of the guys around me also voted for #4, and their reasons were that they didn’t agree with Lee Jaemyung on things like national security, while #4 mentioned pension reform, and he distanced himself from martial law and stuff. Isn’t that kind of reasoning at least respectable? But people are bashing him so hard. For the record, I really hate Lee Junseok and have never voted conservative in my life

    8. Seeing this, I definitely don't want to date anymore

    9. We're using the same country as them? Really?

    10. Why are there boy crazies shielding people voting #4 here?

  • The problem of the country is quite deep. Big difference in what people vote are often based on age or in the place/territory, because the context of people can change. The society evolves during time so the reality we're living now it's not the same our parents or granparents lived, and depending on the place you live the situation and what surrounds you is different, so regardless of if you agree or disagree with those votes, they're understandable and respectable most of the times.

    However, such a massive difference in gender means... the same, which is a huge problem, it simply means the context for men and women in the country is completely different. Something which would be respectable if we were talking about age or place like I mentioned before becomes really worrying when we're talking about something like the gender (same would happen with the race, for example).

    The root of this is obvious, there's a weird misogyny is SK. Despite being a developed country in so many aspects they're decades below this topic and sadly even if today is probably a day that might seem it's worth to be celebrated, to me it looks like an expose of how polarized the korean society is more than anything positive...
