If you were a kpop artist, would you date a fan?

  • I remember it as if one kpop artist once said that he wouldn't date a fan.

I think I didn't quite understand why, back when I was a teenager.

But I kinda understand it nowadays.

Like fans maybe only see the parts of the kpop artists that they want to show.

And those fans are probably only liking the idea of that artist. (Even though that can be the case for non-celebs too)

Even though there are cases where a celeb has dated one of their fans. (but I don't know if that has ever happened in kpop)

  • I mean I don't want to say yes or no. If I happened to meet someone like at a fan meeting and we clicked...and I personally felt something and wanted to get to know them more, maybe i'd reach out to them. But it also depends on how long into my career I am. If I'm just debuted, I would not, I'd want to focus on my career and not be tied down to someone when I can't be available to them. However, If I'm into my career and it's been quite a few years, for hypothetical purposes, let's go with 7, and I'm at that age where I want to start a family and maybe meet someone then yes, depending on the person, their personality, and our interests and values I would consider it. They are people too and as long as they aren't some psycho, which you never know, just like that person would never know who I am off camera, so I'd proceed with caution.

  • It depends on how much of a "fan" we're talking about. If it's sasaeng/stalker level, obviously not. But if it's just someone who buys albums, goes to concerts, etc., I don't see a problem
