Katseye Gnarly reminds me of the saying "A bad buzz is still a buzz"

  • I also agree with this one, because at the end, Katseye' Gnarly feels exactly like a kpop formula.

The roles are reversed.. i can think of so many kpop songs that koreans hated bc of the lyrics that ifans enjoyed lol

This song was clearly made just to stir up buzz. It’s going nowhere and has no future.

And guess what? It worked. Everyone’s talking about it

I don’t know whether to laugh or feel sad that a major company like Hybe has to sink this low just to get attention for the group. They must be truly desperate

  • I saw a comment on PC about this being a very deliberate marketing strategy and it makes a lot of sense. Touch was earworm perfection and a difficult act to follow. No matter what they released, it probably would have fallen short

Katseye took the attention they had for Touch and simultaneously lowered expectations back to reasonable levels while also creating more hype for their real title track.

The only reason I bothered to check out the song is because my entire timeline was calling it a hate crime against the ears. The only times Katseye ever came up on the tl before this were viral visual posts.

My discord server of usely hateful, critical friends all think its the best song this year and we can't stop talking about it.

This dead zombie of a forum broke 100 votes voting against this, 3x as much as touch despite the forum being WAY less active.

There is no inbetween or being on the fence: you either ride hard for this song or you want reparations from Hybe right now. And either way, people will be tuning in to see how bad the next one is or if they can top it even though its probably going to be a boring Touch 2.0.

    Lowkey brilliant
