Long is the right an‍swer is nearly all cases. In fact, I'm struggling to think of a case where short is actually superior--maybe S‍ohee fr‍om E‍lris would be an exception.

Ryujin from Itzy and Chaeyoung from twice are better with short hair imo.

She looks cute and a bit edgy with short hair, but then long hair give her this ethereal, stunning look.

There's only a few idols that I like in short hair and it's funny but I still preferred them in long hair looks (like I loved Jihyo's short bob and Yujin's short hair in Baddie era, but I still prefer their look with long hair in general).
