Yuha’s casting story sounds like the opening to a horror story!

  • Approaching a girl on their way back from school asking if they like “Red Velvet” is very creepy tbh:!: It’s made worse by the fact RV is a food option :/ no wonder her mum scolded her!

  • That sounds creepy af. Luckily they were legit but so many things could have went wrong. This is something that happens in the entertainment industry where they cold approach somebody to audition. I am unsure why they didn't approach somebody that was with their parent. I feel that is more common than to do it when the child doesn't have an adult with them.

That’s exactly what I thought! Thank god it was legit and exactly if they want to cast kids only approach those with a parent/adult with them :!:

Should defo be a law about this in Korea as it seems to be really common :/

The scary thing is I am unsure if that's a law anywhere. There's many celebrity stories where they mentioned somebody cold approach them to audition. I assume or maybe I should say I hope they had a parent/guardian present when they approached them. This story seems weird in how the SM scout handled this because a company as big as them should only approach if parent/guardian is present.

Yes! Tbh it’s very known in the modelling industry specifically, people getting scouted in odd/suspicious ways!

SM and kpop companies should know/be better though especially since trainees are getting younger and younger these days :!:

It's crazy the amount of models that are discovered at the mall.

I just hope Yuha's recruitment strategy isn't common in the industry. There's just so many things that could go wrong in this scenario. We all read about stories about idols auditioning without their parents/guardians knowing. It feels like a very dangerous game to play because it only takes one bad actor for things to go wrong.

  • I heard several stories of idols who was casted on the street and refused to believe it at first or even ran away.

Definitely. They should approach them with an adult.
