Give me a history of all PC and Laptop you owned

    Here is mine:


    1999 - my mom got a Windows 95 PC but I was not using it at that time. She had to replace her tipwriter cause she saw nothing on sale no more and my uncle got her a old PC that his company was replacing with a newer one

    2002 - I was allowed to use the PC for the first time and soon it became mine. My mom still said she was letting me use hers, but she never really had used thisd PC to even begin with and my uncle set up my name as the username for the PC when he fixed a few settings to make me able to play games on it

    2008 - I got a Windows XP PC for christmas when we realised the PC was too weak for newer games that we had before. From then on my mom stoped saying I was on 'her' PC and called it as mine

    2014 - It was still the same PC but we switched to Windows 7 after Microsoft announced to no more support updates and security for older Windows systems. I missunderstood this and paniced btw and asked my uncle to give me his Windows 7 install-CD cause he had Windows 8 at that time and told him how scared I was for getting hacked or some. Especially cause my old PC was hacked before I was scared a freaking lot for security issues

    2016 - I moved away for work reasons and got a laptop with Windows 10 on it cause I decided to keep my PC with Windoews 7 on at my mom's place. I stoped using the big PC in 2017 when the screen broke on it's own by just not turning on anymore

    2018 - I bought a new laptop cause the other one malfunctioned on blue screen all the time

    2019 - right on January 1st I broke the laptop and got a new one on Janaury 2nd, cause on the first all stores had been closed and I was bored at home for an entire day cause I had nothing to do in the shared apartment I lived in and my roommates hat been at their family's places so yeah...

    2021 - When I had moved to my first own apartment a few months before my laptop was dying so I first got an external keyboard cause 2 letter on the keyboard had been not working no more but than my dad got me a new alptop for my birthday

    2025 - I got a new laptop with windows 11 yesterday after my old one was making loud noises all the time, 2 keys were not working no more and the batery was almost dead


    Now it's your turn to tell me about your PCs

    you've been owning computers long before I existed lol

    I haven't been paying attention to the exact models,


    but I got an asus before win8 was announced

    I had an stay at home acer laptop because I borked my asus with a virus. the acer had a win8 installed, but it was before win 10 came in

    and then I had a dell inspiron like 2018 after win 10 became goated

    and now I had my current laptop for like 3 years so like 2022 I guess.


    Edit: im still mad they nuked microsoft briefcase in 2016. I still detest them for that.

    2001-2007 - Macintosh Classic, used from my nana.

    2007-2011 - Blueberry iMac, we got it used from family just like the last one.

    2010 - 2012 - Acer Aspire in Amethyst Purple

    I bought my own laptop, and my stepfather ended up destroying it in messed up ways to punish my mama.

    2014 - 2021 - Lenovo G580 Laptop - I still have the hard drive for it and the box from it with the casing for it. It died after almost a decade of being my trusty PC and surviving a DV situation I went through. The hinges were bent by someone at one point so the screen had to be adjusted to a specific angle but it served me well.

    2021 - Present - ASUS GL551J Gaming Laptop - Runs fantastically, I was lied to by the store I bought it from that it had a Blu Ray player in it, it instead just plays CDs and DVDs but it plays modern AAA games easily.

    2023 - Custom Lian Li Desktop tower, it died after just 3 months. For some reason they input a cheap motherboard when it was supposed to be nicer. Thankfully it was not too pricey, my other half tried to repair it but all we could recover was the power supply and HDD from the motherboard failure.

    2023 - Present - Custom HP desktop tower with NVIDIA 1080iTx and i7 intel processor. I plan to upgrade the ram, CPU and the graphics card at some point but it runs fantastically and has a great FPS benchmark of 193 FPS at last test but I know I can do more graphically should I have more ram space.

    my parents bought one in 2014 when i started university. i have no idea what model it was . i know it cost lik e900 euros???


    and then i got one in 2022 i think. Or 2023. Around that time. And this one cost 300 euros and its the one i am using right now. it's a used computer. its an HP elite book computer from idk when , it has a sticker for windows 7 on it.

    2008 - my dad bought windows xp and Man! Those were best days of my life. I used to play games everyday and even some of my neighbour kids would come and play games along with me.


    2015 - I got acer laptop as gift from my uncle and I was using it till my uni. The older pc was still functional as well till 2020.


    2024 - again bought another acer laptop now as older one has dead battery. Recently it was revived by replacing new battery but the power won't last much. So went for new laptop.
