We listen, we don’t judge Kpop edition

  • I prioritize dance talent over others because I know singing is not something that comes naturally to everyone and since everyone has a different voice, their vocal progression can be very limited hence why you will never see me criticizing idols for not being "average."

Contrary to that, I will criticize an idol for not being able to dance because dancing is relatively easy. In comparison to singing, its a talent that can be improved very easily only if you have the determination.

Most of AESPA are prime examples of this. If you watch their 2020-2023 performances, it looks very dry as opposed to recent times where they are much more synchronized and have more stage presence and energy.

I wouldn't say they improved up to my standards but it is still a long way that they've come since their early years and thats why I became a MY as well as a FEARNOT. I like being able to witness my faves' progression and improvement over time, as opposed to them debuting squeaky clean.

Someone's inability to sing does not make them any less deserving of their job as a kpop idol.

Someone's ability to hit high notes does not make them a better singer/vocalist.

  • Just because a song is sung softly doesn't make the repetitive lyrics any less annoying. Softer songs should not be headache inducing.

The list of these annoying songs is endless especially the last couple of years.
