I didn’t realize Baemon’s album sales are already almost catching up to Lsf's latest sales

  • I’m seriously impressed. Crazy dropped in August with 825k total sales, and Drip, which came out in November, isn’t far behind at 801k now. The gap is getting smaller, and it’s only a matter of time before them hit 1 million. Baemon is clearly on the rise, so YG really needs to step up and promote them properly while they’re still the hot new group everyone’s talking about. Even in Korean charts, they're slowly climbing!

They’ve got a huge advantage with their strong fanbase in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand, where fans are super supportive. Plus, their fanbase in China is growing fast too. And as a girl group, their songs are way more likely welcome by public compare to bg. Yg would be making a huge mistake if they don’t seize this moment to push Baemon further while they’re still fresh and gaining momentum. I hope, the company will not throw them to endless tours just to over the profits they lose from Bp. Baemon just have got so much talent and potential—it’d be a shame to waste it with lack of push and promotion now when they're one of the new hottest stuff in the market.

  • Don’t sleep on BABYMONSTER. They have been doing a lot and accomplishing a lot, but a lot of the I-fans don’t realize this.

BABYMONSTER is a huge deal in Korea, way bigger than you’d think.

Letting them go on tour with 2NE1 was a great idea. Letting GD work on their song was a great idea. Attaching them to “YG DNA” (their words) unapologetically was a great idea.

YGE has been promoting them very well. Lots of variety content. Lots of content on their YouTube channel. Some of the members made appearances on singing shows, such as Leemujin Service and Begin Again.

A great decision that likely contributed to their boost in popularity in Korea is YGE's decision to attach them to "YG DNA" (the members' words). Their music reflects 2NE1, BLACKPINK, and maybe even some of the YG boy groups. They also went on tour with 2NE1.

There's a huge portion of the Korean GP that feels nostalgic for old-school YGE music, especially 2NE1 and BIGBANG. There's a familiarity when you listen to BABYMONSTER's music.
