TS Entertainment has sold most of its songs to RBW.

I hope ts ent shuts down

But why would RBW buy them? Can those old songs bring money? Or maybe to sample them for new songs later?

they need money to cover the lawsuit expenses because almost all of their former artists have sued them

No idea why they bought them, but I suspect its for samples since they make such a huge amount of music and having more credits never hurt any company. I have no doubt they will make good use of them.

People forget that RBW producing idol groups is only a small part of what they do, and in fact they financed some of MMM's early videos etc using the income from other departments and when the girls were starting out. Pretty much every RBW group starts out by recording guide vocals for songs thier company is producing for other people. Big ones you may know, Solar for Ailees don't touch me, Hwasa for 4 minute and AOA and Wheein for Gfriend's Fingertip.

Their CEO was credited for BTS Blood Sweat and Tears, Ailee I will show you, Sistar Give it to me, Soyou's collab Some (it was huge) and so much more.

If you go further into the list of writers they have on staff, it will shock you even more. Think of them as a better organised version of Brave Brothers.

They have credits for, Chungha (Snapping), Orange Caramel (a few including Catallena), Brown Eyed Girls, Iz*one, Gfriend's (including Glass bead), Alexa, EXID (Me & you), CN Blue, N.Flying, T-ara, IU, Lee Hyori, B.A.P (Warrior and one shot), Apink, BTOB, Miss A, Girls day, Super Junior, the list goes on and on.

No matter what it's a good thing because it means whatever money RBW paid them is going straight to those former artists they didn't pay and they will get the correct cut from those future streams. So at least now if they win the lawsuits they will get something rather than just a random IOU, no way will any court accept they got money from those song sales and it all just 'disappeared'. Especially when you realise that some of the songs they bought from TS, they originally wrote (like for BAP).
