I'm getting bored with bleach

  • I don't watch or read Bleach anymore, but you are binging Bleach incorrectly to be honest. Binge the manga up to the Thousand-Year War arc and then switch to the anime, which is ongoing and adds to what the manga left out. You can also watch the movie Memories of Nobody after reading the manga as well, but this is optional and note that it's a bit wonky as to where it fits in the timeline.

DO NOT BINGE THE BLEACH ANIME!

Especially not the Bount arc, which is the worst of the filler arcs. If you watch the anime, then you kind of have to at least watch the Bount arc since it actually gets referenced even during canon portions, but you can just nod your head at those parts if you want.

If you want to watch fillers, then you can watch the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc and Regai Invasion arc, which are the best filler arcs.

  • Thank you so much for this, I was about to drop the anime. I just surfed the internet and it turned out I was not the only feeling the Bounts arc. I will try reading the manga rather than watching the anime.

Bleach filler is okay to keep up with as the manga is released, but it's a slog if you're binging because the first two filler arcs are very mediocre. The weekly break somehow actually helps those fillers be tolerable (I used to watch it on tv every week) since you can still keep up with current events in the manga. Manga chapters are ridiculously short, so binging them will be easy even if you eventually lose interest in the story.

I would say follow this plan:

    • Bleach manga up to and including chapter 479. After you read this:
      • Optional: watch Memories of Nobody movie, but it's not important to the rest of the story. Memories of Nobody has a reference, which makes it canon. Otherwise, it's not actually required. You won't miss anything besides one reference if you skip this.
      • Optional: finish the manga to see how the manga finishes and compare it with the anime to spot differences. I think many manga fans would suggest that you read it. You can choose what you want to do. There are differences in the manga and anime.
        • Optional: the novels like Can't Fear Your Own World, Spirits Are Forever With you, etc. Completely optional. Very split among fans. Wouldn't recommend reading until you finish what you want. You should also read the entire manga before reading some of the novels.
        • Optional: Read Burn the Witch manga. A side story. You can completely skip this. It affects nothing.
        • Optional: Read No Breathe From Hell manga. If Kubo continues the manga someday, then it's likely going to be following up from this. Read the manga first before reading this.
    • Bleach anime beginning from episode 367; this is ongoing, After you reach the latest episodes:
      • Optional: watch the filler arcs, etc. Recommended are usually Zanpakuto Rebellion arc and Regai Invasion arc, which are the best two filler arcs (which is better is debated). Bount arc is not recommended because it's boring (as you know). Captain Amagai arc is mediocre but better than the Bount arc. There is also a Forest of Menos filler arc that is deemed as okay, but it's in the middle of the Arrancar arc. I think it's only four episodes though, so you can choose.
      • Optional: you can watch the movies. Diamonddust Rebellion, Fade to Black, and Hellverse are okay. Some of the more iconic anime music comes from the movies ("Senna," "Encirclement Battle," "Fade to Black_B13a," "Killing Field Pt.A_Opus1," etc). They are all okay.
  • I love BLEACH, but that Bount arc was a mess. Kubo should've ended it after Ichi lost his powers.

The last ARC was dope as hell, tho! I'm still waiting for the anime to finish it, then I will binge-watch it.

To be fair, for me, it was better, because I watched it weekly simultaneously with the Japanese release date.
