"After their breakthrough debut with 'DALLA DALLA', the group's activities have always been accompanied by questions, as they have repeatedly shown disappointing musical performances from 'Mafia in the Morning' to 'Cake'. 'Gold', which quickly returned after the momentum of the world tour, is also not enough to remove the question mark. The heavy electric guitar in the introduction, the clap-centered rap part, and the chorus, which alternately emphasizes drum patterns and synthesizers, try to kill several birds with one stone, but only expose the weaknesses of the cluttered composition.
All that glitters is not gold. Despite inviting two solid Korean and American producers, Ryan Jeon and Dem Jointz, there are gaps throughout the song. Not only is the connection between each sound unnatural, but the rapping, which is supposed to carry on the intense energy of the intro, is too simple. The dance breaks that are shoehorned in as if out of obligation only serve to add to the sloppiness. At a time when the group's position as a group is becoming increasingly worrisome as opposed to the peak popularity of individual members, it is urgent to rethink and redefine its direction."

1. If you consider all their other title tracks, you really wouldn't be able what direction this group is going for...

3. I like all the members but their songs are all weird...
4. I agree. I don't know which direction they are going towards and there's definitely an ITZY-sounding music but I'm not sure about their concept
5. I found that Mafia song so weirdㅠㅠ.... I liked all their songs near their debut though
