directors set up shots that look pleasing to the eye rather than ones that sell the mood of the scene

Maybe the koreans love that cause their life is fade without happy days .
I notice one comment weird like
"They re fans of iu cause they forget their personal problem in her songs"

This is why I'm so picky with kdramas.... much of it is filled with bad acting and unrealistic shots and messy plotlines. It's as if they don't care about cinematic imagery which sets the mood of the scene, they only care about selling the looks of the actors and actresses and the aesthetic. That's not flimaking, it's modeling and fashion.
