Knowing that some of the NewJeans members were Armys, it probably hurt more to realize that the same 'people' they were once part of are now praying the hardest for their misery

  • They were teenagers, so I imagine they must have had fan accounts for BTS back then, like Yunjin, and interacted with other ARMYs. Now, the same fandom they were once part of, and the same company they admired and joined, has become their biggest enemy. It must be a whole new level of eye-opener for fans like them, right? They are among the few 'lucky unlucky' ones who know firsthand how rotten the other side is — something kpop fans could only speculate about in their whole life unless they're working with those companies. Now, after debuted under that same umbrella with their faves, the girls turn out to despise the company they once idolized. Watching Hyein’s old vlogs about how BTS inspired her to become an idol, and then seeing the situation she's in now, it's truly bitter to witness.

Kpop fanbases can be so toxic, so what happens to the girls makes sense in that world. Only a few fans like them actually get to experience and seeing the reality behind the scene that whatever fantasy they had about Kpop, their idols, and the company before was just a daydream—nothing more. One day you're laughing with the whole fandom, but if you disagree even a little, they'll turn on you, threaten you, dox you, and drag you on social media just like they did with the girls now.
