Yea i was more alluding to the fact that vtuber stans and idol stans are largely seeking a similar experience from both. That being the parasocial aspect and music. But I agree, i dont think these virtual groups will ever hold a large share in the kpop market but who knows. Maybe the next top BG or GG will be a virtual group.

i definitely agree with that, both put up a mask anyways - it's just one shows their real face and one doesn't. i honestly think vtubers are more real and it's pretty ironic

though even if a virtual group like plave actual runs up to become a top group the kpop pie won't be affected that much imo, it will just be firepower from a different subculture
