IVE - Accendio MV was just taken down by a copyright claim

  • I guess it is someone pretending to be them possibly as well as they wrote other songs than this on the album but those are still active. Sadly YouTube doesn't verify ID before someone can make a copyright claim pretending to be someone else.

If they're not the real writers, YT wouldn't take it down. You have to provide real proof. Even if they are not the real writers, Starship could've solved this after a couple of hours, because they're a big company, not a vlogger.

The weird thing about this is they only did this on YT.

  • Starship Entertainment finally got youtube to restore the Official MV

Sadly, you don't actually have to provide proof of ownership rights for a take down, no documents etc. are required for the filing out of the document for a take down. It's one of YouTube's flaws. It actually happens a lot to people on the platform. However you get something restored even if it is proven to be a false copyright claim, takes a lot of documentation and going back and forth with YouTube for the uploader.

Since when? I remember when I did one claim in the name of a company whom I worked for, I had to send Google a lot of info. Sure, it was years ago, but I thought we still have to do that. I thought it's only automatic if a random person uploads a licensed video or song.

But looks like if you want to restore the vids you have to provide proof. This is weird as hell if the claimer doesn't have to show anything just click a button, basically, while you have to prove they are wrong.

This AI trend is madness. I mean, it can be useful in some cases, sometimes I use it in Photoshop for fixing movie posters for example, but looking at how YT, Insta and Facebook use it is just crazy. I'm reading complaints all day from users, because YT, FB and Insta AI automatically deletes their comments.

FB is even worse, because a couple of weeks ago, I sent a message to my friend on Messenger app and FB deleted it after 5 second. I was like WTF? There were no links or bad words etc. Not to mention, on FB and Insta if the AI removes your comment, you can't send a report anymore.

Yea AI is a definite fine line, and META as a company loves to over do it. I keep trying to tell friends to text me instead
