I heard it's harder to consume content though like a lot of what made kpop more global is the fact that there is so much kpop content out there from various groups and in English and sometimes other languages as well

I gave it a listen and it's not bad

12 years, and I've learned Korean also in a formal setting

Since 2009, I'm at an intermediate level and am about to start teaching Korean next year at my local high school. Completely self taught until this year where I found a free online class to take. I'll also be completing a few university single subjects to boost my qualifications.
