Introduction:
THE RAMPAGE, a Japanese dance and vocal boy group under LDH JAPAN and rhythm zone, is part of the larger collective supergroups EXILE TRIBE and Jr.EXILE. Comprising 16 members, including 3 vocalists and 13 performers, the group was established in 2014. Its members were selected through various auditions such as EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION, VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4, and GLOBAL JAPAN CHALLENGE. They marked their official debut on January 25, 2017 with the release of their single "Lightning".

History:
Pre-debut
On April 11, 2014, EXILE HIRO announced a new group in EXILE TRIBE on the TV show "Sukkiri!!". On April 22, details were revealed on "Shuukan EXILE" that the group would be named "THE RAMPAGE". Members were selected from EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION, VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4, and GLOBAL JAPAN CHALLENGE. Initially, six participants from EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION were revealed, followed by three more on May 6. On June 17, winners from VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4 were added, bringing the total to 16 candidates. The final lineup included vocalists RIKU, Kawamura Kazuma, Yoshino Hokuto, and performers from various auditions.
Training and Early Performances
Starting in July 2014, the group underwent rigorous training, performing 34 free live shows across 17 cities in Japan while living together in a dormitory. This period was described as a harsh and stressful "survival situation". The group held their final live event of the Musha Shugyo on September 12, 2014, where it was announced that all 16 members would be in the final lineup. Leaders Zin and LIKIYA were appointed on November 16. They continued to tour for two years, participating as support members in various EXILE TRIBE and LDH artists' tours.
Debut and Initial Success
On September 27, 2016, it was announced that THE RAMPAGE would debut on January 25, 2017, with the single "Lightning". Their debut was successful, peaking at #2 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and earning a Gold certification. Throughout 2017, they released several singles and embarked on their first national tour. They received their first major award at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan for the "Lightning" music video.
Continued Growth (2018-2019)
In 2018, THE RAMPAGE released their first album and announced their first arena tour. They won the "Best 5 New Artists Award" at the Japan Gold Disc Awards. In 2019, they released their second album and continued to perform extensively, including at the BATTLE OF TOKYO project with other Jr.EXILE groups. They also released several singles, one of which, "WELCOME 2 PARADISE", included their first original English song.
Expanding Activities (2020-2021)
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, THE RAMPAGE continued to release new music and held several online live concerts. They released their third album "REBOOT" and embarked on multiple tours. In 2021, they launched their first original music and variety show, "RUN! RUN! RAMPAGE!!", and continued to release successful singles.
Recent Developments (2022-2024)
In 2022, THE RAMPAGE released their fourth album "RAY OF LIGHT" and embarked on a major tour. They opened their official fan club and received significant recognition, including the "Best Artist (Singer) Award" at the 2022 Asia Artist Awards. In 2023, they released their fifth album "ROUND & ROUND" and continued to perform both domestically and internationally, including their first overseas concert in Seoul.
Current Activities
As of 2024, THE RAMPAGE continues to be active, releasing new singles, holding fan events, and embarking on their eighth tour "CyberHelix". They have also been recognized at various award ceremonies and continue to engage with their growing fanbase worldwide.
