What's interesting that Julie and Sunhye are leaders of their groups, just like Soyeon. Mari is marked not only as main rapper but also main vocalist which is unusual.
2024 is the last year for Soyeon in "the best female rapper" status

I'm the trend isn't even the best rap she did in 2020 especially considering its followed right by dumdi dumdi, which is a lot better verse from her.
Also insane to say given the verses she drops on her solo album. Gotta be living on nostalgia to think her UPR raps are even the best stuff she put out. (It's her queendom verse)

I honestly think that Sunhye will take the title. As much as I love KIOF, Young Posse just has a stronger rapline and is one of the few girl groups where I enjoy their raps. Sunhye is a real rapper, technically focused and has strong flow and while Soyeon is not a bad rapper there are better 4th gen gg rappers than her (my pick being Moon Sua).

Current soyeon will get destroyed if she rap battles the 17 year old soyeon from unpretty rapstar era.
so true. I want to see a rap battle like it was in UPR, between Soyeon and any idol from my list
what goes up must eventually come down but to say an idol who has successfully proven themselves time and time again to be "beaten" by a newcomer is bit of a stretch no?

I guess she doesn't has that competitiveness, hunger and ferocity anymore that she had during her difficult trainee days.
Nowadays all her comebacks top the chart anyways so she's much more relaxed and just trying out different concepts or whatever she likes.
