The brand ranking thing is one right wing dickhead, who was caught out numerous times falsifying data in other fields, who has openly admitted to biasing against idols he doesn't like, who (I believe) has also been open to taking payments to ensure higher listings, and who wont ever release his algorithm for independent analysis that would ensure his ranking is scientific and repeatable.
