Some things that stood out to me:
- The contrast between 2nd/3rd gen charting and 4th gen is glaring. 4th gen groups are completely irrelevant in the charts if we compare to how things were for 2nd and 3rd gen. It seems like every active bg in the early 2010s was somehow charting in the top 10
- Bands were really popular back in the day, with CNBLUE and FTISLAND constantly in the charts
- How competitive 2015 and 2016 were with EXO, BIGBANG, iKON, HIGHLIGHT all active
- VIXX and Jellyfish Ent. the OG Christmas kings? EXO who?
- The chokehold YG bgs have in digitals. Both longevity and peak-wise
- N.Flying dominating 2019 until Boy With Luv came
- The dominance of BTS from then on, lmao. No one else had a chance
- Seventeen only started being competitive in digitals from 2020
- NCT songs debuting really high but falling quickly (with Candy being the outlier)
- BIGBANG, BTOB, Highlight/Beast and SHINee relevance even in the 2020s, managing to debut and chart higher than 4th gen groups
There's a gg version of this video but I think it has probably been shared or discussed around here.
