For some reason Atelier is a very popular word in Japan and South Korea.
Lots of shops and businesses use it in their name. I never even knew the word existed until I travelled to those countries and saw it everywhere.
It's because asia country are obsessed with french words
i saw so many thing from asia using french words and making absolutely no sense
especially related to fashion and food
and i was watching a french/japanese youtuber who live in japan now and travelled a lot in japan and korea, he was saying that because France and french are well know for their sophisticated fashion and food, a lot of asian people use french word in their brand to make it look more sophisticated
but i must admit that Odd atelier sounds very bad in french it sounds like " aude (a very old girl name) atelier"
it would have sounded so much cooler if she called it "ruby atelier"
