maybe they just aren't popular enough like tvxq was.
orrrrr apparently there was a scandal with johnny's bgs (apparently some rlly big company with the popular bgs in japan etc) which was why all of them weren't invited. and maybe that lead to openings for some other bgs.
(idk tho, this was just according to reddit)

This event is one of the biggest if not the biggest event in Japan so normally only big artists that made big impact in Japan during the year can attend. Normally japan bgs would make more impact than any korean one and seats are pretty much limited so kr bgs would likely not having a chance. I just read on twt (not confirmed) that jp bgs are having some sort of controversal in jp so they're not attend this year and they invited some kr bgs instead. Not sure how big svt and straykids this year in jp tho as I'm not following them that much.
