For some reason they decided not to submit NewJeans for the Grammys so it seems impossible for them to get nominated. Interesting decision considering all of the other kpop groups that have been submitted and campaigned for it. Maybe they think they have a better shot at it another year. iirc you're also only allowed to submit 3 times for best new artist so that might be a factor as well.

2024 Grammy SubmissionsSubmissions are ordered by artist last name/or name. Basically, “Grammy” order. Only confirmed submissions. Snoh Aalegra Be My Summer – ROTY, SOTY, R&B Song…www.goldderby.comThis page has collected all the submissions for this year. There are always grammy voters each year who leak the submission lists. In that thread it was specifically asked if newjeans were on the list, and the answer was no (they did get submitted for the Jon Bastille collab, but that submission came from his side)
I would also just add a general disclaimer for the Best New Artist category that basically only artist from the US, UK, and Australia have won it. 1964 was the last time somebody from another country won it (France). So it would be a miracle if a Korean artists wins it. The U.S. music industry is still way too biased for that
