Your suggestion seems to be this is some sort of marketing tactic? I feel you are reading a bit too much into it. Not everything in Kpop is some grand design of marketing.

Next you'll being to suggesting something like - 'Oh wow that member has enlisted they must be a very dutiful group I think I might stan them now' with that thinking.
