Manon made it into the Top 6!!! Thank GOD!!! They really tried to evil edit my girl out of the line-up. If her friend hadn't come in and said she missed practices because she was sick (and not because she wasn't "committed"), she would have been GONE!!

Instead, Adela and Hinari were eliminated. And, yet, Brooklyn, the main reason Team A sounded terrible and was dragged, is still in the competition.

I really don't understand HYBE and JYPE. Like, they are supposed to be creating these groups to appeal to international audiences, but they keep making the most questionable decisions.

  • You know when I said hybe seem to know what they're doing with dream academy... well I guess they don't these companies say they want to expand and have a different audience then the kpop one but with the decision they make it looks like they'll end up with the said audience they want to stray away from

    Yeah, I don't get it.

I think HYBE definitely has a better vision of what appeals to Western audiences visually, aesthetically, and market wise though. Because of that, I think that even if the fan favorites don't make it into the group (Megan, Manon, Sophia, etc.), the group will still be successful.

JYPE, however, are lacking when it comes to the aesthetics and marketing imo, so I'm a little less convinced. They NEED the fan favorites in that group.

the only reason it seems that hybe knows better cuz they have actually westerners making the decision with hybe while Jyp is the only decision maker for a2k so far Christina,Camila and Kendall seem to be liked by Jyp the others it’s high and low

I feel like Camilla and Kendall are definitely debuting. Camilla will probably be the leader, which is deserved. Girly has it all. I'm very iffy about Kendall, but I know JYPE loves her. I don't want to be too harsh on her since she's so young, but let's just say she wouldn't be my top pick.

Not sure about Cristina since she opened her IG, but I've heard other people (with "insider" connections) saying she's definitely debuting. Honestly, I wish they'd wrap this up already. Is next week the last episode? I hope so.

  • Like the Baemon survival show where everyone made it, to me A2K is similar and closer to a SINO show (survival in name only) where the focus is on showcasing the final team with a few "contestants" thrown in for suspense.

Imagine if RU Next was like A2K - the show could start at the point they were down to 10 contestants and no one would have to know that a girl named Chanelle was ever in the running. Would ignorance be bliss in that case? Idk.

I will say though that the evaluation/feedback scenes from A2K replete with JYP's goofy smile felt more intimate and personal compared to this one from Dream Academy, which felt almost clinical. IJBOL at what sounded like an elimination announcement from Squid Games, lol. Wonder if this is just for prelims and they plan on switching over to a face to face evaluation format later.

HYBE's whole format for Dream Academy is fucked up in my opinion tbh.

Like, it's hard to feel like we are really getting to know the girls because we only see things in snap shots. We see their performances with barely any lead up, then we are asked to vote, and they are releasing mini content and behind the scenes DURING the voting process.

It's hard to feel connected with them as individuals beyond the surface level because of that. Then, they are doing group missions 1st rather than individual missions, so if the group sucks because of a bad match up (like Team A), then everyone is negatively affected.

I think it would have been smarter to just make a show, distribute it through Netflix or something, have individual evaluations, and then do group evaluations. Like A2K and Produce, who got it right!

One thing I hate about A2K though is they never post the full performances on the main channel. They only post badly edited snippets on shorts. That's not how you get people's attention! Post the full performance that's not overly edited so people can actually fully judge each individual's skills for themselves! I think Dream Academy is superior in that aspect.

I really feel bad for Kendall people seem to hate because Jyp likes her and her talent doesn't equates to Camila's, she's a girl that really tries her best and she has some strength in certain type of songs also she's a really good leader in my opinion and yes the final episode is next and it's going to be a two part final episode

Someone still believes in HYBE after this god-forbid show and I'LLIT.
