I might be saying something really obvious but I'll write down what I honestly feel.
I'm 22 y.o and I like Rose! So because of Rose, I started to be interested in the brand after seeing the commercial. I think that because of this, they were able to attract an younger audience.
In fact, at the department store today, I noticed that people's eyes were drawn to the Rose's CFs on LED screens, videos, and brightened shelves.
Anyways, I went to the department store to try their famous creams and..... I could smell how strong the scent of ginseng wasㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I'm not saying that it sounded like Korean medicine or like a drug store but.... Which 20 y.o would want that? My whole face smelled like ginseng..ㅠㅠㅠ
If they wanted to rebrand it, they should've made the whole brand fit younger people's tastes or make a new line of products... I just feel like the rebranding was done with incompetence... so frustrating...

It's true that their image got younger after Rose became their model. But there's no product for young people. So why make your image younger?.. The price makes it hard for younger audience + the product just had a package change. I wonder if they really expected their sales to go up with that

Just like OP said, Sulwhasoo's consumer base are older people but they left the ginseng scented water in its contents and replaced the container with a cheap plastic youthfulness.
