when i was a kid i thought nilla wafers were dog treats that humans could also eat bc my only exposure to them was at my grandparents house and they would give them as snacks to the dogs but then would give some to me too

are these considered baby food?

ive havent had baby food in abt 24 years probably so i cant say for sure

They're just kinda blandly (read VERY LIGHTLY) vanilla flavored. Which makes them very inoffensive for recipes and great for kids who won't eat strongly flavored stuff - which is why baby food is so bland as well.

gurl they taste like sweet vanilla but also like a stale rock (i mean that lovingly lol)
-
I actually like them in things - like a great added texture and hint of vanilla for banana pudding! They stand up in shit pieces of cake wouldn't because of their crisp.

this explains a lot abt my childhood rn hold on

I agree with the stale rock characterization, which is why I like them in baked/creamy desserts - it softens them and makes them quite enjoyable as an added dimension to the dessert!
