JK’s likely still working on it (as mentioned in the CK live when he suddenly got a burst of inspiration and abruptly ended that live) after putting it on hold in Jan-Feb. I know he said he was releasing after Yoongi but I can’t help but remember how he mentioned in 2018 that his mixtape was coming next (soon), yet we’re here in 2023 and there’s no sign of it yet.

Regarding his CK deal, he actually had been hinting at it in his lives several times, everytime he said he had to go to work but didn’t want to, his sudden workout live, those times he said he was rewarding himself after a job well done at work…
It’s just that most ARMYs completely zeroed in on him saying he was putting his album on hold, “didn’t have anything going on” and wanting to rest in Jan/early Feb. All those other clues that he was working on something were overlooked.
