I know a lot of folks are watching boys planet and might feel like this is me evaluating the two shows. It's kinda true but also not. Peak time is giving me what I have been hoping for very long in kpop. A career revival reality show. The stakes in the show are uncharacteristically high. These are already debuted idols so the skill levels are also amazing. The editing isn't trying to milk traumatic events. The performances are fast paced they do not spend unnecessary time on the backgrounds of the preparation. It's just one amazing stage after the other. The format of each round is interesting too, it's not the repetitive music bank performance stages in each round.
Lastly the judges. Fair, square and to the point. I haven't seen any unnecessary diss from the judges to the contestants to create drama. I replaced boys planet with peak time because BP is becoming very overbearing with the drama also the trainees are definitely not giving a lot of star factor. Literally a handful of them are actually stage material. The rest are just hoping to skate by on their looks or variety show personality.
If you have the time, do check out peak time. Not that you should ignore BP. But Peak time is definitely the one that's better for your mental health.
