How can Korean movies win Oscars/Emmy but Kpop groups can’t win Grammys?

Good question.

Because black people dominate the music industry, so forced diversity is not required. Oscars on the other hand can't catch a break from racism accusations so they constantly award diversity over actual movie.
CODA - disability
Nomadland - made by asian woman, homelessness
Parasite - an entirely asian movie, class struggle
Greek Book - a gay black man
The Shape of Water - disability
Moonlight - a gay black man
Birdman - a movie about actors (these mofos love themselves)
12 years a slave - slavery
and so on and so on
That would actually make sense if not for the fact most of the nominees are white year after year after year. This is literally the portrait for this year’s nominee luncheon.

So no, they don’t CONSTANTLY award diversity, if anything they stick to their same old same old shtick.

That's because there is a lot of behind the scenes nomination, like editing, vfx and etc where they literally have no choice over whom to award. However if you stick to main categories, the diversity and inclusion message gets obvious.

in bts case, their strongest chance is always in popgroup/duo and its difficult to win over industry big weights in that category
there are plenty of other categories like global music etc where asian artists win grammys almost every year but since bts is vying for the mainstream categories its difficult to win there
korean trotists/folk singers/orchestra etc could have a better chance at winning in another grammy category...
