So BTS being nominated at all and being South Korean is a miracle in and of itself but being both also works against them. Until they get the men™ validation as The Beatles did, no male judging body will ever vote for BTS.
When you think of the Backstreet Boys and the major success "I want it that way" achieved and how impactful it still is almost thirty years later, not being nominated for ANYTHING, here's the very reason why. So I'm not even expecting BTS to win (unless it's to throw a bone for clout in their hiatus when not one BTS member has been sighted/reported to even be going to the Grammys this year
