A.C.E apeard on 2 survival shows in 2017 only months after their debut.
One of the survival shows was MIXNINE
Backstory:
- When YG entered Beat Interactive's former companyrooms wich were just the basement of a restaurant he was quit dissapointed to enter another basement once again after seeing so many companies being in a basement
- YG asked the member why there were only 3 (Donghun, Wow and Byeongkwan) when they had 5 member. After he was told that Jun and Chan were on THE UNI+ at the same time YG's face looked dissaproving of having the group seperated
- Later on YG asked for the members and where they have been before joining Beat Interactive. Wow than said "Actually I used to be under YG Entertainment for a year" but YG only said "I don't remember that you've been under YG. I normaly remember all the former trainees. Since I can't remember you, you must've been someone who hasn't been very relevant" which totally made Wow feel offended.
- YG than asked the boys about their debut song CACTUS and said "So you just recently debuted ... what the fuck made 5 grown up men decide to dance in hotpants? Isn't that weird? It's so unusual and men shouldn't wear hotpants" Donghun didn't liked that comment and made YG's ugly mouth shut up by saying "But what was with WINNER and the LOVE ME LOVE ME musicvideo than?" since WINNER wore hotpants in there, which made YG just speechless and everyone who watched MIXNINE just said this scene would've been very iconic since not many people can get YG to shut up
- After the audition-part YG went to the CEO of Beat Interactive and made her down for being poor. He said several unfortunatly bad things to her since she has no money from how he didn't understood that someone without money made their own company, he didn't understood how she left her normal payed job at Stone Entertainment, he didn't understood how there were boys who seriously had considered to become her trainees, he didn't understood how she did not try to do things that could generate a lot money in a short time and he acted up as if YG being a major big company would give him the rights to be rude to every smaller agency and company out there.
- Later on YG started to ask out the restaurant owner for why he had given out his basement for rent and than the restaurant owner said how much he begun to love Beat's CEO and the boys and that he was so nice helping out like if Beat's CEO is low on money she can pay rent another month or he gives free food to A.C.E etc. and Beat's CEO felt very lucky about it. However YG didn't got it and said to the restaurant owner "How can you not make them pay for food, you need to make money ! You need to ask them to pay for the food they ate! How much money do they even ow you right now? A few hundret thousand won? A million won? You need to think of yourself and make them pay for food!" But the restaurant owner just dissaprovingly shaked his head and said "The boys allready pay me!" YG got confused: "How do they pay you? You said they don't give you money?!?" than the restaurant owner said "I hear the boys sing in the basement all day long, thats enough they pay me with" and YG just acted more confused
At the end of MIXNINE Donghun and Byeongkwan of A.C.E won on the show and were about to join the winner group. However nobody seemd to have read the terms and conditions of YG's contract so Beat's CEO took it into her hands and read the contract before singing it. She later on realised it wasn't worth it and so she went to all other companies and their idols who won on MIXNINE and said they shouldn't sign the contract if they don't want to screw themselfs.
Her actions made YG go mad and he really begun to fight with her saying "Who do you think you are, telling everyone to not sign my contract?!?! Whats wrong with you?" than she got at him saying that he did put out a shit contract and that it wasn't worth being signed by everyone if he dosn't changes the terms and conditions of it. YG was unwilling to change anything and claimed he made the best contract for everyone that would ever exist in KPop, wich was bullshit.
So basicly the contract he made would fuck every company that has no way of getting incom, especially poor and new companies.
The terms and conditions:
- Each idol will be signed to YG for 3 years
- Each idol will be under YG for 6 months a year
- Each of the groups (a girlgroup and a boygroup) will have 3 releases in those 6 months
- On the other 6 months of the year the idols go back to their original companies. Acording to Beat's CEO she said that having the idols for only half a year was not enough for prepairing new releases, especially not since the people are most likly allready overworked for producing 3 releases in 6 months before under YG and she disliked thinking of overworking anyone but YG said 6 months in YG and than 6 months in the original agency would be enough. He even said that the groups could also release music in the first 6 months of the year without the missign members, but some groups who had more than 1 member in the winner-group of the show would loose on it when half of the group was gone for half of the year and it would also hurt a groups image, but YG didn't cared
- YG was also only giving 10% of the whole income the winner would generate to the original companies and would barly even give any money to the idols themself since he basicly handed out a so called "slave contract" to everyone and he claimed that companies should be glad that he dosn't makes the people pay of any depts like other companies would do most of the time
- He than said when the 3 years would've been over and the groups do well he would give them a 5 year contract on top and if these 5 years run out he gives them another contract and so on. Beat's CEO hated it since her calculations came out that it only benefits YG but would make all the other companies go bankrut and close down so she convinced each and every idol and their companies to not sign the contract.
And yeah after this everyone than said that MIXNINE floped and everyone made fun of YG how he made this show just to be called out as the asshole that he is.
