Are they trying to expose their own members? Oh my god

This tweet is about an instagram post of a woman called Riho Minami. The post asks if it could be that Elly (Sandaime J Soul Brothers) could've been her Santa this year cause they saw an ear on one of her photos and think it was Elly's. IDK who she is but I think she was the girl that acted in one of Elly's solo-MVs like 2 years ago so they for sure know eachother, but it looks a bit weird and fishy that Elly's own company seems to try to expose him for something.
