Hello! So, Dreamworks has finally released Puss In Boots: The Last Wish a few days ago! I saw it with a friend not too long ago and we both loved it a lot. A bunch of critics are singing it’s praises as well, and most people I see talking about it enjoyed it. It seems to generally be very well received across the board. However, I want to know if you feel the same way. If you’ve seen it, what was your favorite part/favorite character? Did you like the songs? How about the jokes? The animation? Tell me everything!
I first heard about it through a preview in front of the Bad Guys when I saw that movie earlier this year and it stood out to me, as I had no idea they were making one before then. Since then, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for announcements and news about it, and watching the trailers for it. At least it seems like it was promoted well: I heard an ad on the radio for it, got one of the trailers as a YouTube ad several times before, saw that there was some sort of sports collaboration involved, the voice actor for Puss In Boots (forget his name, sorry!) went on Hot Ones and stuff like that.
I was really excited to see it and it did not disappoint, despite my high expectations. I’d give it a solid 9 or 9.5 out of 10 probably, depending on my mood. I LOVED the score and songs they used or made, especially Fearless Hero. Go listen to it right now! It slaps.
The voice acting seemed great. It had a lot of characters, and spent just the right amount of time which each one and handled each one well (maybe one extra cameo of small scene with the wolf would’ve been nice, but oh well, it’s not a big deal). The character designs look nice. I love how colorful the movie looks. I liked the ending a lot too. I do wish they let Goldi have her wish, and also stay with the bears, instead of having her sacrifice her wish, but it makes sense why they did it I guess.
My favorite character was by far the dog. The way he can live through so much trauma and still be the embodiment of pure happiness is beyond even me, but I’m not complaining. He genuinely wanted to help, and he was so unintentionally funny without trying to be. When he roasted the bears gets me every time. Or how his path in the woods was the happiest based on his personality. Or how he tells his backstory and Puss and Softpaws just look at him and get more and more concerned for him the longer he goes on.
If you haven’t seen it, did you know it was coming out/is out? Have you seen any ads for it? Do you want to see it, or plan to see it? Why or why not?
Give any and all of your thoughts on the movie below, I’d love to hear them. Be respectful and have a great day/night!
