BTS solos sounds like songs from indie artists

    The astronaut by jin had some potential since it had the coldplay elements but was not promoted well enough.


    I think jungkook and Jimin will fully go that mainstream genre route. Especially Jimin since he's working primarily with pdogg and other western producers nowadays! Hope V at least releases a catchy pop track as a single before his album since that man has got mad potential but kinda feel like the genre he will go for probably ( based on his previous releases and stuff) will hinder it.


    Can't predict what's yoongi is upto for his solo album these days but if it's anywhere near daechwita/ D2 esque or something like that that? Then he's gonna smash

    I agree with most og what you said. I do think V's solo fandom really grew and they are the most competitive along with PJMs. V also has the richest china bar. Even if V releases an all jazz and lullaby album, he will still sell alot.

    honestly i dont even think jimin and jk will do mainstream stuff. jk's taste is kinda all over the place, unless he goes the jb route.

    As long as they're making music they want to make that's all that matters. Its a shame kpop fans don't get that BTS has already climbed the mountain, they've reached the heights of every metric. The only reason why kpop fans still talk about BTS and flopping, etc, is because this rationale helps them cope with the fact that their faves will never achieve a fraction of what BTS and it's members have.

    Yes, I keep monitoring solo numbers nowadays especially of maknae line and they are really good! Especially christmas tree longevity on spotify is really surprising! Jungkook and jimin get super stable daily streams too. I can only imagine if V ever decided to release a nice catchy number, I know it will do wonders.


    Also it's a given everyone in bts will be a million seller ( sans hobi since he was done dirty) but feel like V and Jungkook got the potential to be a double million seller with their solo debut album with Jimin following close second to them.

    so? Why do they have to do mainstream songs?? Let them make the music they want

    He needs to do some music produced by western producers it'll be a hit I'm damn sure and he'll sell alot regardless of the genre but it'll be a waste of potential if he doesn't try to do some pop mainstream music.

    Why do people care if the solos are mainstream? It affects group legacy. All The Beatles had solo careers. I used the word careers not albums.

    unless the personal taste of the soloist is commercial/mainstream music, it's pretty normal & even more authentic to not go the mainstream route.


    your solo should be a chance to showcase a part of you that you might not be able to in group,

    since you're bound to compremise with your other members/label,...


    i'm incredibly happy with what we have gotten so far, not only have they outsold & outstreamed every other soloist, they have also stayed very true to themselves with their solos.

    RM solos has always been like that and I 💖💖💖


    Jhope's album was the best though.

    euhm, unless i understood the comment wrong, i don't think they were implying bts' solos...

    since OP just said that their solos sound very different from their group releases
