No, it’s been around for a long time but it’s not really an award that kpop fans know except those who get it.

Maaaaan, I don’t know. Ppl say last year they showed groups and they got the award. Maybe, just maybe they get it.

Nope, it's already exist since 2010. This award isn't focus on kpop groups, if you see the clip, they show more kdrama and kmovie. It's hosted by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Korea Creative Content Agency.
