Why is SM delaying aespa’s comeback?

    Is it because they want aespa to break album sales records again? A long hiatus can make their fans hungrier than ever to break the records.

    I always chuckle when yall keep talking how sm is planning a comeback without competition. In case yall don't know, sm is the messiest company in terms of planning their schedule lmao, they don't strategize or give a fuck for that. They won't care about who's comeback along their groups. Delay can happen for whatever reason but i can say for certain conflict of schedule is never gonna be the reason.

    And i guess you might have a really short memory to say that they didn't have any competition when SM didn't care about competition and literally made Aespa comeback few days before BTS comeback with Butter

    SM doesn't have as much resources (cash and staff) as it used to and has to push releases apart to manage with their massive roster. the cracks have really started to show this year

    If they're losing money even after selling countless millions of albums, something is very wrong at SM.


    127 and Dream are good for 2M albums each. Aespa at 1.5M. RV at 700k. Soloists all doing well. 98 percent of companies would kill to have their sales.

    Now they're starting to drift. I think SM are working hard to try and acquire another huge song for them. If they don't get that, they'll join the also-ran's.

    SM had its highest revenues and profit of all time last year. They are still running high in sales and profits in the latest 3rd quarter report and will gain more by not paying LSM’s shell company.


    The planning and execution is shitty in certain areas in SM but not because they’re broke.


    By not coming back sooner, they set a record for sales. They sold out fan meetings in Korea and Japan. Why would SM change what it’s doing when what they’re doing is lucrative and successful?

    SME obv have some internal issues that messed up their schedules. And still is

    because 147-out moment was very embarrassing after so much bragging, company needs to get their act together and give aespa better song next time
