Why is there no hype about Txt at the AMAs?

  • They’re the first 4th gen group to attend big US award show but I feel there’s no hype?

    Approved the thread.
  • Its not a big deal now, back then did bts it was a huge deal with no connections and bring the first one to attend.

  • Skz get 1st in bb200 and nobody care, not even Koreans media or kpop stans bother about that compare to when Bts achieved it.

  • were ppl expecting hype?? Even BP at the VMAs was a non-event so what hype would txt bring? They just sat in their chairs, not performing, presenting, or winning any awards.

  • same as nct’s carpet attendance before zero hype

only bts and bp bring hype

  • I believe since it wasn't like they were set to perform, nor was they up for any main category award.

If so, then kpop stans and people woulda been talking.

But them just showing up, and watching Americans perform and do normal carpet interviews, leave for nothing to SERIOUSLY be talked about.

I still love them though, and believe this is just the beginning.

  • they went to amas? for what? were they even nominated for somehing?

  • that's bs, bts' first time at western music awards was immensely talked about - regardless if they had big noms or not. the truth is that no kpop group, except for bts, really creates buzz in the west & with more kpop groups attending these award shows (nct, bp, txt,..) that will become even more clear in time

  • bts didn't perform at the 2017 bbmas, but there was still more hype. please stop giving excuses.

  • because they are nugu outside of kpop. And I'm not some salty non fan. Except for bts and maybe bp unfortunately world doesn't care about kpop

  • Perhaps it’s because the only K-pop groups that most Americans care or know about are pretty much BTS and BP. Amongst the MOAs, the AMAs were actually well talked about, and some other K-pop fans were surprised. But the AMAs really only concern the Americans most of the time.

  • Lol

Let me help you so you can go back and cry in the corner:

  • I’m so used to seeing 200k-500k likes on bts tweets for these accounts that this is so underwhelming

  • western fandoms don't trend hashtags, you know that right?

  • western fandoms don't trend hashtags, you know that right?

    :pathead-2:

    1. They do but not as much as K-pop fandoms. Another point is, you might not know but not only hashtags trending. Exact words or phrases also make a brand or group trending. Hashtag is just makes it faster but as long as they mention certain phases it will trend. Also that doesn’t take away the fact that it did made noise. Stay pressed.
