    Jin has proven himself to be a digital monster in Korea, he is in top 5 on melon and soon will get a PAK. I dont think people expected that.

    He stands now as the most popular male soloist on the charts.

    either way, he did 700k album sales on his FIRST day (US, Europe & Japan not included since those still need to be shipped, so he'll be a million seller once those numbers get released), he's one of the only male acts to debut in the Melon top50 & he's still rising on kcharts, got the BIGGEST spotify debut for a kpop soloist, he got such warm and positive reception with his live performance with Coldplay supporting him as an adored little brother, he got amazing results on itunes, shazam, youtube, ...


    so either way, Jin has proven himself to be one of the most succesful k-soloists out there.

    Depends what you mean by best. How many soloists have you listened to, to reach that conclusion?

    btw a lot of soloists have reached top 50 on melon.

    Not yet. when it comes to "Soloist from groups", their success will be known only when there is some distance between their groups and their solos.

    BTS is still active with its massive fandom. So nothing can be said about their soloists yet.


    The truly successful soloists beyond their groups are Hyori, Taeyeon and to lesser extents Kang Daniel, Hyuna, Sunmi, maybe Chungha and then few others.


    BTS, BP, Twice soloists are not in that spot yet.

    He’s not top 5 in Melon. I’m assuming this is a typo and you meant top 50.

    Others outcharted him..debuting not just in the top 50 but the top 10.

    Psy, Zico, Lim Young Woong, Beo, Crush, Paul Kim, Loco, Baekhyun, Chen, Mino, Changmo…


    And then there are the artists that actually topped the charts like Zico (again), Lee Mujin, Kang Daniel, Sokodomo…


    And probably more.

    Its not a typo, he is top 5 but melon is blocking it, it's a conspiracy to sto BTS soloists.

    Those artists you have mentioned are good but they will fade away, they are one hit wonders.
