For me it's that I thought Sheldon's mom was played in both series from the same woman. Actually the woman who played his mom in The Big Bang Theory is Laurie Metcalf while Sheldon's mom in Young Sheldon is played by Zoe Perry, the daughter of Laurie Metcalf. They really do look like the same woman (I know they are mom and daughter) so as the first episode of Young Sheldon came out I wondered at first if they just edited Laurie Metcalf to look a bit younger o.o
