People calling a song a hit too easily.

I have seen many people say Newjeans have 3 hits when Cookie shouldn't even consider to be a hit?? Also, fearless, sneaker and eleven?

Firstly, for Fearless, the song only hit 250k peak which is similar to Aespa's Girl and their longevity isn't completely insane. The other song hit like 290k at their peak. This number couldn't be considered as a hit. Sneaker is dropping very fast after reaching it peaks and Cookie still needs more time to see if it has longevity like Eleven. Eleven is consider a hit, but the song is just at the line between hit and non-hit.

Wut? Fearless longevity is solid, it was still around #31 on Melon Daily last i checked, it's been five and a half months already. It's noticeably ahead of That That which hit #1 on Melon and is considered a top 10 song this year. Also Eleven's longevity is insane, it's also in the mid 30s and it came out TEN MONTHS ago.

Longevity is what makes a song a hit.... girls plummeted hard after it's "high" peak which is why it's not considered a hit.

Eleven has huge longevity tho? It's a national hit past the point of a regular hit song! it's what catapulted IVE to stardom

Sneakers is a regular hit song.

Fearless is just slightly below a regular hit and I'd say cookie is the same. (all 4 are more successful than Girls)

Let's compare it to songs that had higher peaks but bad longevity: feel my rhythm, that that, still life and etc.

All those songs peaked really high but had worse longevity than some of the songs you mentioned.

How is being just top 10 a hit lol.

If the chart currently has low uls overall and songs can get into top 10 with 150k uls, does that mean the song with 150k a hit? What matter to consider as a hit is uls and longevity. If a song can't even get 300k uls+ more, it shouldn't even consider as a hit.
