Which solo will be more successful jungkook or taehyung?

    Approved the thread.
  • Jungkook duh! Didn't u see other threads jimin and jungkook have armys wrapped around their fingers. Army dont let go of any chance to shade V. Compare how they treated first ost of taehyung with jungkook's ost.

  • depend on who will get more sabotaged by HYBE

physical albums & a few variety shows is a must, but we have to see if hybe learned from not giving jhope physicals.

if both get treated the same, i think the succes will depend on the music & country

  • Jungkook obviously, the route taehyung seems to be taking ( based on his other solo works) doesn't look like it's meant for the masses/GP anyway, none of his solo songs till now would click with GP cause most of em are boring ballads.

Taehyung might sell more albums than jungkook and or do better than him in south korea but that's about it, jungkook will do miles better everywhere especially in the west!

  • Wait...they haven't solo debuted yet? They've released so much solo music videos I don't even know what's what anymore.

I don't follow BTS but I know how many different types of songs they release.

  • Both will have extreme success

  • Both. Objectively i think jungkook will have an edge over taehyung because of the genre and the company support.

I am biased so i would say i am more interested in taehyung's work, will be different from what he has done with his ballads ost/r&b BTS solos because he keeps talking about jazz.

I haven't moved on from this can we please get an actor taehyung even if it's a supporting side role next year🥺

  • I'm not saying this because I Stan taehyung but I feel like hybe sees jungkook (and probably jimin too) as their main soloists. So I see them hitting bigger. Its upto company' support. I mean look at newjeans and lsrfm.

  • Jungkook will have the fandom support, and if he goes by mainstream genre then he can have the hunch to successfully debut in the US as well seeing L&R number (and before you came to me speaking about Charlie’s number, without Jungkook he only amassed 1M debut streams on spotify vs Jungkook’s 8M streams).

But Taehyung, aside of debatable domestic popularity, also has more Chinese fans than Jungkook! Chinese fans can bulk-buy his album, so album sales wise they can go apple to apple.

Overall I think it’s Jungkook, but in some areas Taehyung can excel him (depending on song genres, promos).

Also please insert Jimin into the picture. Bc he is just as powerful as both Tae and Jungkook. Fandom support, hardcore solo fandom, supposedly popular genre for his solo (judging from how his BTS solos are doing).

nopes, except for jhope no one of the members has officially debuted as solos

all the previous released music they made on their own was either just released on soundcloud or on spotify without any promotion/ announcement. it was just them experimenting their own sounds, away from bts as a group and gifting army songs at random moments.

  • I'm personnally more curious in Taehyung future works but Jungkook obviously will be more successful, his music is more "mainstream" so i'm sure it will be popular.

  • Album sales - V

Digitals - the one with the best music
