Hybe uses 10+ producers for one song. Good or not?

  • There’s like 15/16 producers in 1 song on Txt/Enhypen/Lsrfm albums. Why do you think there’s so many writers?

  • Usually there are many names credited because they are very prolific, they dip their toes in lots of projects. It's like an assembly line at a factory. Anyone who contributes in any way gets a credit. Using someone else's idea - credit them. Using already created work from other songs - they need to be credited.

Also at a very large company with lots of money washing around it may be the case that trainee producers are included for work experience, or main producers overseeing the work of juniors get credits.

It can cause a lack of cohesion, but with the current trend for disjointed noise music that doesn't matter much. I'd prefer to hear a song with 10+ producers than one with 10+ writers.

  • I don't like it. Too many producers add too much noise. I like one vision of what the song should be about and a focus on musicality and lyrics. If I wanted to be assualted with random noise then I can hang out at a construction zone. I have always preferred singer songwriters because of this.

  • is to give credit to everyone who worked on creating that song, HYBE always gives credit for not having future lawsuits.

  • one thing i always used to wonder about hybe, so many people in the credits, for what?

  • One thing I never understand is WHO are the lyricists and WHO the composers. These two are 2 completely different works while creating the song.

  • They've probably been working together like workshops with soke producers. Some of them are common across hybe groups and have multiple times updated posts together working on music.

  • is to give credit to everyone who worked on creating that song, HYBE always gives credit for not having future lawsuits.

    could very well be

beyonce is also known to have many producers on her work because she will credit EVERYONE, no matter how small the contribution was (song she sampled, sentences she copied,...). better safe than sorry i guess?

  • as long as the song is good, why does it matter to you?

  • You're actually reading the credits wrong. The first line is the producer. The next line is all the writers.

So the Le Sserafim tracks are produced by 13, with each track written by multiple writers.

The same is true of the TXT tracks. So Thursday's Child, the song, has 3 producers, with 21 (!) writers on the song. Most pop songs have a lot of writers, particularly if it's using a sample, and that's not just kpop songs. 21 is a lot tho.

You can usually see who has lyrics and who has compositions credits by looking at the Genius page.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER – Thursday's Child Has Far To Go
[투모로우바이투게더 "Thursday's Child Has Far To Go" 가사] / [Chorus: TAEHYUN] / Born to be a Thursday's child / 가야 할 길이 많은 아이 / 나를 기다릴 날들과 / 발을 맞추러 go (Woah-oh-oh, woah)…

Or by looking at the KOMCA page, which will show you the Korean copyrights.

    Searching Works | KOMCA

A are the lyricists, C are the composers, Arr are the Arrangers, although I've found the Arrangers aren't always showing on the KOMCA page. There may be the same person duplicated in a specific credit dependent on how the copyrights are structured to reflect different countries, so they might be listed twice with one notation for ASCAP and another for Universal Publishing.

However, it looks like Big Hit may not be separating that out in skimming the credits?

  • can you read

producers are credited first, that's 13 for all the songs except the last. A duo.

the rest is composers AND lyricists, Source doesn't differentiate between them, they're going by level of contribution, not what everyone did exactly.

she is known for stealing others' work as in not crediting or making it look like she wrote it herself

the song gets passed around 10 people(bc no one respected wants to work with her anymore which is why her recent album lyrics is so childish and lame) then she adds one syllable and gets credited too (is bang pd like that? hm)

Example: Ne yo's irreplaceable or trying to make it look like she wrote a bee gee's or some legend's song she covered lmao

    anyway

bang pd is not as creative as he used to be, it's embarrassing bc in the end, the song is still ass

and the gag is he's so far up white people's asses, he will take any basic bland disney soundtrack sounding song from them. he ruined bts' sold discography

the only good songs this year came from newjeans and it didn't even came from them

they still didn't want to release it

  • Man so much hatred over music, I'd argue your points, but it's better just to say "get a life".

  • I don't like it. Many of their songs feel like they're going nowhere, because most of these producers aren't even present when the final song is made.

  • This is how Bighit has been fooling people into thinking BTS are a self composed group when at most they write some parts of their raps.

Most singer songwriters nowadayrs are bad though. Soyeon and 3Racha only ones that consistently put out bops, plus Swift and Olivia in the US. It's not like it was back in the 70s and 80s.

Those are my favorite artists but current singer songwriters aren’t good (especially the popular ones currently). Too much fake and frivolous angst. Same topics as pop/ kpop. It lacks sincerity. BTS are sincere artists in their music and their personalities. That is what I feel from them at least. I enjoy sincere and relatable artists over most other aspects of an artist/music. My perspective of entertainment is to have my mind and/or emotions engaged. If it is meant to be just fun and forgettable then I have no interest in being a fan. I enjoy that kind of entertainment as a casual with no need to care about the artists at all.
