RE: Do popular variety personalities like the "human vitamins" have longevity for their careers?

  • Unfortunately very few variety people have longevity even outside of idols. Everyone has their peak and after that you barely hear from them.

  • Right. Plus, I feel like idols are kind of a weird example, because their longevity is dependent in part on companies prioritizing getting them into regular variety gigs. And while I can think of some famous second gen idols who were known for attracting fans through their ongoing and varied (ha!) variety/hosting work, that's really something that's not done much anymore.
