Why not? They have never cared about the music or performances anyways., while modeling is easy money where they don't even need to do much. Also why they need to promote their new album that much? The only purpose of this album release after their usual "make fans hungry" strategy is to get money from tour where even for them would be shameless to go without at least few new songs. They just earn money without putting a lot of efforts into it and their fans like to be treated this way - match made on heaven tbh)

Bp doesn't even have to promote and they will still sell and chart well. I don't know why you're acting like they're some new group that needs constant promotion so people will know that they're releasing a new album.

Their new comeback wasn't that good. The song was very similar to what nct or skz would make and it still charted. So dragging nct and skz isn't making sense here.
