What does NewJeans have that f(x)/Red Velvet doesn’t have?

All are Min Heejin directed girl groups, 5 members, makes indie/experimental music and concept. Yet NewJeans shows potential to be the biggest group of their gen while f(x)/Red Velvet were called flops. What makes NewJeans different to get more success?

New Jeans is not experimental. It’s pretty safe, GP friendly music with a throwback sound. New Jeans was well done for the current marketplace but nothing here is experimental or revolutionary.

Fx and Red Velvet have experimental concepts and music that can throw the casual fans off. They are also from the most hated big company. Red Velvet also had to deal with the debut hate from Fx stans who didn't want their group replaced by a newer one.

New Jeans has nothing experimental about them. It's just chill, easy listening music that throws back to before all the crush music was big. They also have an established fandom that they can leech from in Army and Hybe stans, the biggest in the world.

Njs remind them of SES that's why they're getting so much love, members are young and look innocent like old days' kids.

No one in their right mind has called Red Velvet or even f(x) "flops." There's also nothing similar about NewJeans so far. They're not showing any of the "experimental" quirkiness or variety in concepts of the other two groups. Why even compare?

NJ have triple the investment of these groups combined. hardly comparable

NJs are more talented than those 2

aespa was equally if not more hated by luvies. Crying about aespa's barely there presence and oppurtunities when rv was allowed cf's and solo schedules wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy before BP and Twice.
